Assumption of Risk
The client/owner recognizes that employees from MUZO are not veterinarians and cannot be held responsible for the detection
or diagnosis of diseases or illnesses that could arise during the the boarded pet’s stay at MUZO.
The client/owner also recognizes that vaccines, although effective in most cases
, do not completely protect pets from contagious diseases.
While MUZO acts with diligence and professionalism in bestowing services to pets under its care
, MUZO cannot prevent
all accidents or injuries that might occur during the course of a normal stay or during periods of group playtime activities.
As such
, by handing over custody of his or her pet to MUZO, the client/owner retains responsibility for any risk of disease
or injury that might be sustained by his or her pet. The owner also assumes liability for any material damage or injuries to other animals if caused by his or her pet.

To make a reservation, a valid credit card is required. Reservations are confirmed on receipt of the vaccination card and
once the house rules have been read and accepted. The cost of the stay must be paid in full at the time of

Deposit and Cancellation Policy
For hotel reservations during peak seasons (as listed below) or for stays of 5 nights or more, a 100 $ deposit is required.
This deposit will be applied against the total amount for services at check-in. In the event of a cancelation
, deposits on reservations are non-refundable and cannot be applied against an alternative stay.

Peak Periods
• Winter Holidays : 15 December to 15 January
• Spring Break : 15 February to 15 March
• Summer Vacations : 15 June to 15 September
MUZO reserves the right to refuse any pet whose behavior is deemed unacceptable.

Registration Policy
It is possible to drop off or pick up your pet Monday to Saturday from 7AM to 7PM and Sunday from 11AM to 7PM.
For reasons of availability and suite preparation
, you are urged to bring your pet after 12 p.m. for check-in and before 12 p.m.
for check-out. No refund is granted for an overnight stay if a check-out is completed after 12 p.m.
An extra day shall be charged for any pet that has not been recovered before 7 p.m.

Cancellation Policy
For reservations cancelled with less than 72 hours prior notice, a cancellation fee amounting to 25% of the reserved stay shall be applied. Cancelled reservations are non-transferrable and cannot be rebooked or reimbursed.

• Dogs must be at least 4 months old to stay at MUZO.
• Adults dogs must be neutered.
• The following vaccinations are required and must not be expired: Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitus, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza) and Bordetella.
• Bordetella (Kennel cough) must be done within the last 6 months.

• All male cats must be neutered.
• Female cats older than 6 months must be stayed.
• The following vaccinations are required and must not be expired: Rabies, Feline Panleucopenia (FPL) and Rhinotracheitis.

Reasons for Admission Refusal
Animals that have contracted a contagious disease OR have been in contact with a contagious disease within the past 30 days
will not be admitted at MUZO. Management reserves the right to refuse admission to any of its services.

MUZO recommends that pets regularly receive an examination to track down internal and external parasites (e.g. worms, tics, fleas…) and follow a veterinary prevention program.
If the presence of external parasites has been detected on a pet
, a treatment (special bath) will immediately be administered
at the expense of the owner.
In the case of internal parasites
, the pet will be isolated from other animals and required treatments will be billed to the owner.

Special Care Programs
Special care can be of two sorts: medical or behavioral.
• Medical/specified care : this pertains to specific requirements requested by the pet owner, which exceed the standard services offered by MUZO (e.g. extra meals
, additional walks, care given to older cats and dogs or young puppies, etc.). In these cases,
an additional fee must be negociated.
• Behavioral : In a situation where an animal exhibits behavioral problems (e.g. aggressive with staff)
, such a case calls for
particular care and attention
, which brings on additional costs to the client.

Procedure in Case of Emergency
In the case of an emergency, the client or designated emergency point of contact will automatically be called to determine the measures that must be taken.
The client’s takes veterinarian is priority. In the event that he she cannot be reached, MUZO’s veterinarian will be contacted.
Note that in cases judged urgent
, MUZO will take charge of bringing the pet directly to the 24-hour emergency veterinary
clinic – even if the owner could not be contacted to receive his/her explicit consent. Fees associated to the emergency consultation and transportation costs are at the expense of the client. If specific care or more thorough examinations incurring substantial costs are necessary
, MUZO will try as best as possible to reach the owner to obtain his authorization.
